Gwen was raised in Kentucky influenced by her Mamaw’s strong Christian faith, watching her minister the Word of God in a time when women were not accepted in ministry proved God is no respecter of persons and that He calls and equips whom He chooses.
Gwen’s first encounter with God was at 12 years old, but she chose the wrong path and walked away from God. Gwen returned to the Lord at 29 years old while living in KY during a separation from her husband. She will be the first to tell you that if you don’t listen to the voice of God, He will find a way to get your attention! Within 2 years of being born again God called her to ministry and sent her back to NY and restored her marriage.
Gwen and Bob have 3 daughters and 11 grandchildren. They live in Leeds, NY.
During the years since returning to NY Gwen has been involved in various ministries in Greene & Ulster Counties. She has been Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Children’s Church Leader, Associate Pastor and Pastor.
Gwen knows her previous experiences equipped her for God’s call to Co-Pastor The Great Commission Church. Her desire is to see the lost come to the Lord and grow in God’s power and might, experiencing the goodness and grace of God.
